Dolores A. Jenkins

Dolores Jenkins passed away on May 6, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Constance Jenkins and survived by her pet lovebird, Valentine. Mrs. Jenkins had spent the better half of the 21st century living alone in a small apartment with her cherished pet as her sole companion. She was described by neighbors as a pleasant woman who would smile gently upon receipt in the hallway or when passed on the sidewalk. While lovebirds are not typically known to mimic human speech, upon discovery of Mrs. Jenkins’ body, Valentine could be heard repeating the phrase, “I’ve had enough. I just want to die already.”

Therefore, it would be surmised from this display that either a) Mrs. Jenkins had uttered this phrase enough times over the years that her beloved pet developed the ability to imitate the phrase through sheer repetition alone or that b) the bird itself had expressed the innate desire to die after the passing of its caretaker. In either case, Valentine was euthanized in an effort to mitigate all potential scenarios.
